A review by Lab door.com made it clear that in their studies, the supposed strongest version available scored a 0 for purity, a 1 out of 100 for label accuracy, and 28 out of 100 for efficacy. They essentially said that this completely failed any purity standards, highlighting the fact that the company is not making a quality supplement. They also say that there is only 660 million CFUs, been though the company claims there is 20 billion live cultures.
Because of these major issues they only gave it a very poor 56.4 out of 100, making it a really cheap supplement. As far as quality they ranked it 36 out of 37, planning it at nearly the last slot when compared to many other similar brands. The ,major problem with this is that this specific probiotic is intended to be the company’s strongest, yet somehow it ranked well-below average when compared to similar products.
It’s admitted that this 20 billion is what’s added at the time it is manufactured, so technically this isn’t a lie; it just shows that the quality is greatly reduced by the time it reaches consumers.
Nature’s Bounty is also the name of the company, and they make their products widely available both in store and online. They have existed for over 26 years now. Their Better Business’ Bureau listing has a C+ rating at this time due to a negative customer review which was never addressed.
This customer complained that they were placed on an auto-renewal plan which suddenly charged them $88.99 without first warning them. Auto-renewal scams are a common practice by shady companies which act as if the brand they are offering is free, but this often turns into an automatic monthly contract. We can’t say for certain if Nature’s Bounty is like this just that this single customer complained about their quality of service.
A comprehensive review was also run by Consumer Reports which showed that there were PCBs in the company’s products, which is a type of chlorine which may be a toxin when ingested. This is known to potentially cause endocrine disruption, thyroid issues, and other serious side effects.

The kinds of bacteria can vary depending on the brand, but the common theme for all versions is that each has strains often found in fermented foods. Most of what’s included can be easily replaced by simply eating yogurt. This does not mean it’s ineffective, just that there is a cheaper way to get the same kind of possible support.
They do make sure to add a lot of different live cultures, with their most dosage heavy brand offering 20 billion, but this is fairly common to all other probiotic supplements.
The company fails to mention that most of what they add is fairly basic and easily found in most other brands.

Nature’s Bounty Probiotic is widely available and there are a lot of different bacteria strains offered in each version.
The problem is that most of the forms of bacteria are far too commonly used in dairy, making it easy to replace. Lab door also had a great review which showed that their strongest blend purity was not up to par, and it was rated only 56.4 out of 100.
